PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To deliver products to, and return empty crates and claims from the trade in and around area of responsibility; to represent the company in the trade in accordance with customer care and quality.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Grade 12 certificate, minimum 1- 2 years’ experience in heavy duty transportation
- Valid code C1 driver’s license.
KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:
- Deliver products to customers according to Roadshow Trip Sheet.
- Load the truck according to invoices as per scheduled Trip Sheet on SAP.
- Assist with and supervise off-loading and storage of stock at outlet
- Follow-up on customer complaints and queries with Administrator: Distribution.
- Keep products cool during transportation by keeping the cooler unit of the trailer on 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.
- Monitor Assistant Drivers behaviour towards customers in terms of behavioural code.
- Ensure minimum fuel consumption through appropriate driving regulations.
- Maintain minimal fuel consumption through proper vehicle maintenance by handing over the fuel invoices to Operations Supervisor in order for him/her to control fuel consumption and communicate the results to driver.
- Make certain that Assistants: Driver and you are wearing protective clothing as to minimise injury.
- Deliver empty crates to the Warehouse and ensure that they are signed for.
- Ensure that the correct number of crates is loaded on the truck.
- Assure that invoices are signed by client/customer on receipt of goods and co-sign invoice as proof of delivery product.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To operate the forklift and to ensure the effective flow of products as well as safe handling of products in trucks and trailers.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Grade 12 certificate, minimum 1- 2 years’ experience in forklift operation
- A valid Forklift License.
KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:
- Load and off-load products as instructed by supervisor.
- Operate forklift according to speed limit.
- Inspect forklift daily to prevent accidents.
- Responsible for the keys of the forklift to be in a safe place at all times by keeping the keys on him/her or in the office.
- Ensures that products are handled, packed and loaded safely to minimise breakages and customer complaints.
- Responsible for the effective care of the forklift according to set standards and procedures.
- Be on standby after hours and during weekends for Primary truck loading and off-loading.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations relevant to operating the assigned machinery.
