JOB TITLE: PHARMACY MANAGER
JOB PURPOSE: To manage a well-staffed, well-equipped, and profitable pharmacy department that timeously supplies quality pharmaceutical products for the smooth running of the hospital leading to client satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree
  • Registration as a Pharmacist with the Health Professions Council of Namibia
  • 6 years relevant experience of which 3 years should have been in a supervisory role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, coordinates, and compiles the departmental budget.
  • Ensures that all the licenses for the different governing bodies are renewed annually.
  • Coordinates activities between the Pharmacy and other departments in the hospital.
  • Engages clients to make sure their pharmaceutical needs are met.
  • Establishes a working relationship with suppliers and ensures procurement of quality pharmaceutical products.
  • Participates in the development and review of medicine use guidelines.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in the pharmaceutical field and make necessary changes to streamline departmental activities to conform to the changes.
  • Prepare monthly reports and participate in management meetings.
  • Manage the human resources in the Pharmacy, including performance, training, disciplinary matters, and leave plans.
