TEMPORARY ASSISTANT TEACHERS/PRIMARY/SECONDARY/RECEPTION/TEACHER AIDES
CALL FOR REGISTRATION OF APPLICATIONS FOR TEMPORARY TEACHING APPOINTMENT – PRIMARY & SECONDARY SCHOOLS (Tenable in different Schools across North East Region)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified unemployed Botswana Graduate teachers to apply for the above-mentioned positions within North East Region schools in the Ministry of Child Welfare & Basic Education tenable in North East Region for the year 2025. Please bring certified copies of your certificates for presentation and registration at the Regional Education office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should have:
I. Certificate in Early Childhood Care or its equivalent
II. Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education
III. Diploma/Degree in Primary Education
IV. Diploma/Degree in Secondary Education (All Subjects)
V. BEd-Special Education (Intellectual Disabilities, Hearing Impairment and Visual Impairment)
NB: Any other degrees should be accompanied by teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/PGDHE).
SALARY:
-
Certificate – B3/B2 (P65 508 – P91 344) per annum
-
Diploma – C4 (P108 444 – P123 420) per annum
-
Degree – C3 (P127 092 – P150 852) per annum
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
-
Temporary – Successful applicants will be offered either a termly/yearly contract depending on the nature of opportunity available per request.

Severance benefits will be payable at the end of the contract using current Employment Act and other regulations.
LEAVE:
-
25 leave days per annum (C4 – C3)

20 leave days per annum (Below C4)
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
-
To facilitate teaching and learning of Primary/Secondary learners based on prescribed syllabus.
-
Supervise, guide and counsel learners and maintain records and participate in extracurricular activities to achieve quality academic results.
REQUIREMENTS:

Certified copy of valid National Identity Card (Omang)

Certified copies of academic certificates (academic and professional) together with their transcripts.
