Full-time Assistant for a professional Translator and Editor, starting as soon as possible

In response to the growth of my business, I am hiring a second assistant to start as soon as possible. The post is based in Oranjemund. Due to the nature of some of the tasks, remote work is not an option.
The successful candidate will help me with the wide variety of tasks needed to run my business.
Requirements:
- A university degree in any subject.
- Excellent written English (please list relevant qualifications and grades in your CV).
- Knowledge of any other African or European language would be an advantage.
- Excellent computer skills. Web-programming, scripting and/or Excel skills are an advantage.
Responsibilities:
I am looking for somebody who is flexible and willing to do a wide variety of tasks, with the ability to learn on the job. Training will be provided where necessary. The tasks will include:
- Setting up projects on the computer.
- Helping with arrangements for the provision of interpreting services
- Preparing documents for government tenders.
- Performing computer maintenance tasks (backups, software updates, etc.).
- Making travel arrangements for business trips (booking flights and accommodation).
- Issuing invoices and keeping the accounts up to date
- Downloading reference material and editing bibliographies.
- Producing marketing content for social media
- Liaising with clients and translators by e-mail and telephone.
About Anglo Premier Translations:
The company is owned and run by Timothy Barton, who has worked as a translator and editor for around 20 years. I am hiring an assistant to help with some of the tasks required to run the business. I am keen to develop the skills of young Namibians and believe that the person I hire will benefit from the experience.
