PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To provide electrical maintenance support in the event of equipment failures, execute planned and corrective maintenance, perform fault-finding, and conduct structured breakdown analysis to ensure the efficient operation of electrical systems in O&L Leisure properties.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Grade 12.
  • National Trade Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Electrical General) (Level 4)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electrician. Previous work experience in electrician substations is a must.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, wiring and related tools
  • Knowledge of SAP PMP.
  • Read electrical drawings and basic mechanical drawings
  • A valid code B driver license.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Respond swiftly during callouts to provide electrical assistance.
  • Carry out new project/equipment installations within expected time frames when assigned.
  • Provide feedback to manager in optimizing electrical maintenance mix.
  • Obtain work orders for planned activities from the Maintenance Planner and execute scheduled maintenance tasks on electrical systems.
  • Obtain all relevant information to conduct activities, such as drawings and manufacturers’ manuals.
  • Locate and obtain spares and tools required for maintenance.
  • Prioritize jobs to maximize product quality and plant availability within the set maintenance schedule.
  • Stop plant/process and negotiate time required to perform maintenance activities with relevant customers/individuals.
  • Provide timely feedback to Maintenance Planner on deviations and work to be completed.
  • Execute all daily, weekly, and shutdown activities according to schedule.
  • Isolate plant/process as per relevant procedures.
  • Attend to breakdowns of all electrical equipment on both Day and Night shifts.
  • Perform accurate fault finding on Electrical & Production Systems.
  • Test equipment thoroughly before handover to process owners.
  • Take meter readings, record temperatures, and pressures in the heating and cooling plant.
  • Install and/or repair electrical wiring for renovations, electrical outlet additions, motors, and associated equipment.
  • Report to the Repairs and Maintenance Manager on breakdowns and repairs carried out and completed as per work instruction.
