About the Role:
Smart Solutions Namibia is looking for a young, energetic Systems Technician and Consultant to join our team. This role requires extensive travel across Namibia. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, techsavvy, and capable of handling both technical installations and basic procurement/logistics tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, IP networking equipment, and security/IT systems.
- Drive long distances to project sites across Namibia.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Understand client requirements, propose practical solutions, and implement them effectively.
- Troubleshoot and maintain internet-based systems, networking, and security setups.
- Generate quotes for clients and handle basic procurement for project needs.
- Manage procurement for approved designs, ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Organize logistics for equipment, ensuring timely deliveries to project sites.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members.
Requirements:
- Young and available for frequent travel.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel long distances.
- Basic experience or knowledge in electricity and electronics.
- Confident working with computers, structured cabling and security systems (CCTV)
- Ability to understand client needs, suggest solutions, and implement them.
- Basic knowledge of procurement and logistics to source materials and organize deliveries.
- Strong communication skills and problemsolving abilities.
- Passion for tech in Agriculture
