Savanna Beef Operations (Pty) Ltd was established in 2023 by the Beef Value Chain Forum of Namibia and is in the process of setting up an export abattoir and a red meat processing facility between Okahandja and Windhoek.

Cleaners
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To ensure effective and efficient cleaning within designated areas of the abattoir, maintaining hygiene, sanitation, and operational readiness in line with company and regulatory standards.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform rotational cleaning duties in and around the abattoir.

Follow the assigned cleaning schedule and ensure all allocated tasks are completed as per company set standards.

Maintain accurate records by completing daily cleaning rosters and checklists.

Ensure correct use of cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment in line with safety and hygiene protocols.

Assist with deep cleaning and sanitation activities during and/or after production, or as scheduled.

Support the overall hygiene of the abattoir in maintaining compliance with meat industry standards and audit requirements.

Ensure good hygiene practices at all times.

Report any equipment defects, or hygiene concerns.

Strictly follow all safety procedures and requirements.

Ad-hoc tasks as and when required by management.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

Grade 10 (NQF 2).

Previous cleaning experience working in an FMCG environment will be advantageous.

Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation principles.

Physically able to perform manual cleaning duties.

Namibian citizen.
-
Proficient in English (spoken and written).
-
Must be able and willing to work shifts, weekends, overtime, and public holidays (if and when applicable).
