MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring timelines & budgets are met
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
- Experience managing design/build contracts for profitable construction projects
- Expertise in vendor & client payment management for positive cash flow
- Namibian resident with 5+ years’ experience in utility-scale Solar PV construction & project management
- Site Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., IOSHH or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of financial models, budgeting, and cash flow management
- Strong operational background with knowledge of hybrid generation systems
- Valid Driver’s Licence
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Awareness of renewable energy policies & Solar PV technology
- Ensure compliance with design, quality, H&S, and documentation standards
- Experience managing subcontractor hiring & ensuring ethical practices
- Extensive on-site construction decision-making experience
- In-depth Health & Safety, risk assessment & Building Regulations knowledge
- Lead the end-to-end project delivery of Solar PV projects
- Manage EPC payment milestones & weekly client reporting
- Manage pre-construction documentation, contracts, and technical due diligence
- Monitor project commissioning, punch list completion & closeout
- Oversee project scheduling, plant design, procurement & construction
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Serve as main point of contact for all project stakeholders
- Strong electrical knowledge & ability to read technical drawings
- Supervise construction managers & support internal project management processes
- Understanding of British & International standards in construction & operations
