Purpose of the Job:
- Responsible for the professional and effective Management of the Payroll, Remuneration and Benefits, Recruitment and the Employee Wellness Functions within GIPF.
Key Performance Areas:
- Develop and present a realistic divisional/departmental budget for the functions under the portfolio.
- Responsible for the effective management of the payroll, employee benefits administration.
- Provide an all-encompassing Recruitment & Selection Function which ensures that GIPF is effectively staffed at all times.
- Responsible for compiling the Workforce Plan.
- Develop, implement and oversee comprehensive wellness programs that promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of employees.
- Implement the Strategic Plan and scorecard of the Human Resources Department with specific references to Compensation Management, HR Administration (benefits i.e., pension, medical aid & Housing), Payroll and HRIMS software, HR Reporting, Remuneration & Benefits, Employment Cost Budgeting, Talent acquisition and Staffing, Employee Wellness.
- Assess and evaluates the policy and procedural framework governing the afore-mentioned areas and identifies shortcomings and the requirement improvements.
- Internal work Relations, Communication and Interpersonal Problem Resolution.
- Advise the General Manager: Human Resources on the best practice payroll systems and procedures.
- Financial and other Resources Management [identifies and plan the activities for the division in accordance with the overall strategic plan of the department.
- Manage and monitor the performance of the subordinates.
Requirements
Job-related qualifications and experience:
- B Degree in Behavioral Science/ Human Resources Management (NQF level 7).
- Eight (10) years’ working experience in the Human resources field of which 5 (five) years should be at a supervisory level.
- Certification in the following areas will be an added advantage [e.g. Rewards Management, Employee Wellness, Talent Acquisition]
- Certificate in supervisory training/middle management training will be an added advantage.
- Driver’s license.
