Premium Accounting Officer: Cash

What will you do?
Accurate collection, processing and reconciliation of premiums received on the daily bank statements for processing on TE, REGENT and CLASS.
What will make you successful in this role?
Receipting
Daily:
Recon of daily bank statements (Mapping and Authorising).
Send emails to Bank Windhoek on all unknown deposits daily, if any.
Recon of POS Swipe machines, Airtime City and PayToday deposits part of the above process.
Timeously allocation for various Sanlam Cash Schemes (Affluent Monthly).
Clear all bank statements through allocations of deposited monies.
Preparation of daily Requisitions.
Effective handling of Group Mailbox – Premium Admin Cash Enquiries
Adhere to FIA compliance Programs
Effective handling of user data management
Effective follow up system to ensure prompt and correct feedback
Weekly:
Follow up on unknown deposit requests with Bank Windhoek
Check Orphan-Other, Orphan-Cash, and ALL other Orphan baskets on TE & request copies of deposit slips from Bank Windhoek for allocation on TE.
Monthly analysis/stats on:
Cash Allocations
Cash Unallocated
Schemes Splits & Allocations
Confirm allocations are done correctly – Orphan Payment Report daily, Pay point allocation Report.
Suggestions on ongoing basis in order to improve workflow and systems.
Auxiliary duties as required by Management:
Keep up to date with changes in technical as well as workflow arrangements in the office.
Back up where needed.
Qualification and Experience
Grade 12 or Equivalent
Tertiary education with Mathematics and/or Accounting is an added advantage
A diploma/degree in the financial field will be an added advantage
2 years proven working experience in a Premium Administration environment
Knowledge and Skills
Excellent English (verbal & written) language skills
Accounting and/or Mathematical Skills
