Debmarine Namibia requires the services of a Storeperson. The successful incumbent will co-ordinate the receipt, storage and issuing of materials on the vessel.
The successful candidate will be required to spend a minimum of 28 days at sea followed by a maximum of 28 days ashore.
Job Description
THE STOREPERSON AT DEBMARINE NAMIBIA:
- Receives and bins goods, checks against documentation that goods are correct
- Performs stock counts in accordance with agreed plan as specified by the Materials Controller
- Issues goods and ensures that relevant documentation accompanies goods as per prescribed procedures
- Arranges for the dispatch/distribution of goods and updates the SAP computer system when goods are issued or received
- Provides feedback to stores management regarding low or out of stock critical/insurance spares and stock discrepancies
- Checks the unreleased in-picking report daily
- Regularly checks on, and makes changes to, bin locations as specified in the stock report.
- Files documents related to receiving and issuing of goods
- Checks backorder reports, and brings any potential problem areas to the attention of the Materials Controller
- Ensures that items issued are accompanied with test certificates or hazardous data sheets wherever applicable
- Produces handover reports and notifies the counterpart Storeperson of all relevant matters

Qualifications
CANDIDATE MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12
- A certificate in storemanship/stock control will be an added advantage
- 3 Years relevant experience
- SAP MM knowledge will be an added advantage
