4X EXTRA HEAVY VEHICLE DRIVER (FIXED-TERM)
JOB GRADE: B3
LOCATION: NORTHERN COMMUNAL AREA (NCA)
The Extra Heavy Vehicle Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of cattle to Meatco establishments and abattoirs within the Northern Communal Area (NCA).
This role plays a critical part in supporting Meatco’s livestock value chain by ensuring animals are delivered on time and in optimal condition, while upholding animal welfare, road safety, and operational standards.
Key performance areas
Cattle Transportation & Logistics

Safely transport cattle between farms, holding areas, and Meatco facilities.

Ensure timely delivery in line with daily schedules provided by the Supervisor.

Follow all animal welfare guidelines during loading, transport, and offloading.
Operational & Administrative Support

Maintain an accurate vehicle logbook and trip records.

Assist with basic administrative duties such as filing and tracking delivery schedules.

Report promptly and accurately on daily activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Grade 12 certificate.

Minimum of 2 years proven experience as an Extra Heavy Vehicle Driver, with preference given to those with a background in livestock or agricultural transport.

Must have a valid Namibian Code CE driver’s license accompanied by a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).

Must be a Namibian citizen.
